Who Are Tabletop Studios?

Welcome to be a part of our journey in the wonderful world of wargaming.
Tabletop Studios is of now a one man army trying to bring that little extra to this great community.
Me, Adam Bengtsson, the owner and creator of Tabletop Studios is a 6 year wargaming veteran. I´ve been historically interested all my life and I found this great tool, wargaming, to make history less abstract.
Since my introduction to wargaming I was so facinated by different terrain builders, good terrain really brings a wargaming table to life! So that´s where it all started.
I have been building terrain non stop for 6 years but during those years I´ve been relying on other creators buildings, first mdf then STL files. It worked for a while but in order to make those famous battles and locations accurate I could no longer settle for generic buildings. I wanted more!
So I decided to dive down the rabbit hole of 3D designing but I wanted, as said before, bring that little extra. So my way of doing this is to actually travel to the places I tend to design. It´s no way economically profitable but this is a true passion project. So I got myself a good car, a roof tent, a dog and just drove.
Normandie, Remagen, Hürtgenwald, Bastogne, Metz, St Lorraine are just a few places I´ve visited these last years. During these trips I´ve documented everything, from buildings, heights, vegetation, weather and so on just to be able to recreate these places as accurate as possible.
So this is what you are in for:
Terrain Tutorial Books
Scenarios and Campaigns
Tutorials
3D Designs
Gaming Events

and more yet to be revealed…

So if you´d like I´ll gladly take you guys along this adventure by posting frequent updates of my trips and progress.
To give you some teases of what´s to come soon:
I´m currently recreating Vierville Sur Mer for a D-Day table to bring all the way to Normandy this June. Along side this I´m starting some western german projects with large focus on Remagen. I also had to drive back to Foy to get some photo angles I had missed last time I was there so that is also to come, probably for this year’s winter.
During the early stages of this project I´ve had the great oppertunity to partner up with TooFatLardies and Reisswitz Press. They are the creators of many great rule systems but one in particular, Chain Of Command is my absolute favorite. For a history nerd like me, it´s brilliantly adaptable to the period and setting. So I hope to have some great collaborations with the fantastic blokes from these two companies in the future! As of now I´m responsible with providing their playerbase outside of UK with gaming tokens for their different rule systems. I am absolutely thrilled to be working with TooFatLardies who has been some great role models for me during my time in this hobby that has now turned into my job. Absolutely crazy.

To summon all this up…
This is a passion project for me, I would design all this with or without making it into a business. But I feel it would go to waste if not shared with the community, and when I put so much time and love into what I create I hope it really is something worth sharing.
Some things you just have to do, you don´t know why but you can feel it inside. Something that motivates you every morning, I feel like this is that for me. I want to do my part and not make history go forgotten. And this is my way of doing it.

Cheers
Adam
